Part-time magician and fully passionate by gambling gaffs and memorabilia as well as gambling sleights, he started acquiring gaff decks to try and get the feeling card cheaters of the Far West had when they worked on a mark using marked cards or strippers. But he would always end up with the same problem, the poor quality of the playing cards. The cut would clearly be visible and anyone could spot it and see the trick.

This site is a homage to the old card companies from the twenties to sixties that sold gaff cards and other gambling equipment from catalogs that claimed their products were the best and compared to no others.
Over the years, we have accumulated tons of playing cards, gambling gaffs, old gambling catalogs, books and other memorabilia in order to learn how cheaters used to work their craft. We are always fascinated when we browse through an old Blue book (KC Card Co) catalog or one from Hunt & Company. We would think how great it would be to buy a combination belly strippers deck of playing cards or to get our hands on some shakeout and figure out what the hell they were anyway!
We do this to incorporate this knowledge in magic, gambling demos and in the making of magical and gambling gaffs. AND because it’s our passion to find such treasures!
